Interpretation guide
How to read U.S. daily top gainers
The U.S. Daily Top Gainers radar lists the biggest one-day advancers among U.S.-listed stocks above $1B market cap. Use it to see which themes short-term U.S. capital is rotating into, and to anticipate next-day spillover into related Korean sectors.
Selection rules
The screen pulls the day's top percentage gainers on NYSE, Nasdaq, and AMEX from the TradingView screener, requiring at least $50M in daily trading value and excluding preferred-share listings.
- Top 20 names sorted by one-day change in descending order.
- Thin moves below the $50M trading-value floor are excluded.
- Preferred listings are filtered out; common shares and ADRs remain.
How to interpret it
U.S. spikes are usually event-driven: earnings, guidance, M&A, or approvals. The useful information is whether several names from one industry rise together and whether the move comes with heavy turnover and relative volume.
- During earnings season, most of the list can be earnings reactions.
- Semiconductor and AI names rising together often feed into Korean chip stocks the next session.
- A mega-cap on the list lifts the whole index, so read it alongside U.S. breadth.
How to respond
Rather than chasing U.S. spikes directly, use the list to read theme direction and Korea spillover. The key question is whether the driver applies to a whole industry or just one company.
- For industry-wide drivers, check related Korean names the next trading day.
- Overlap with the U.S. trading-value-spike radar confirms the move attracted real capital.
- A close holding near the high suggests trend; a fade suggests a one-day event.
